Community Pool and Clubhouse Is Coming!

The Hope Springs Community Pool and Clubhouse is coming May 2022! We are looking forward to Summer Fun with swimming in the pool and gatherings in the clubhouse. You can see some progression pictures of the construction and it's quite exciting. Now that our pool is closer to becoming a reality, let's talk about pool safety. The Treasure Valley YMCA suggests these tips: 

  • Teach Children to Swim Early

Help children to be comfortable in the water and swim at an early age. Educate them early about water safety.

  • Active Supervision, Barriers, and Sightlines

Always supervise children when they are in or around water. Require children to swim in designated areas within the sight of their guardians.

  • Never Let Children Swim Alone

Always designate swimming buddies before swimming in the pool. 

  • Wear Sunscreen

Protect your skin from the sun by wearing sunscreen, hats, or using a shade. 

  • Life Jackets

Make sure your children always wear life jackets if they can’t swim. Floating toys are not suitable alternatives as they can deflate.

  • Stay Hydrated

Make sure you are drinking plenty of clean water.
